Alestorm’s “No Grave But The Sea” sets forth on May 26th

Posted by Morgan Ywain Evans on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 5:39 PM (PST)

A friendly reminder that Alestorm, your favorite band of stage bashing, instrument brandishing buccaneers, return on May 26th with one of their rowdiest plunderings of the creative psyche yet, the bold and commanding No Grave But The Sea. If this isn’t your thing this won’t change your mind, but if you love your pirate metal? Consider this a serious haul. 5 albums in and the band are as ready to rock, rum and rollick as ever. The profanity heavy and pretty hysterical song “Fucked With An Anchor” alone is worth braving the high seas to purchase this dangerous album. The proud and stirring “To The End of the World” also will appeal to the more adventure and slightly less comedy minded historical metal head, sure to be a rallying cry among those who fly the Alestorm flag. The band are going to really shock some Hot Topic punks when they conquer the Vans Warped Tour this year! Pre Order HERE while you still may!

Alestorm to play Dokk’em Open Air 2011

Posted by Geoffy-Dee on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 2:05 PM (PST)

Swashbuckling pirate metallers Alestorm have confirmed that they will be play Dokk’em Open Air 2011. Alestorm and Pagan’s Mind are the first confirmed names on the bill for the sixth edition of Dokk’em Open Air. The festival, located near Dokkum, takes place on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 May 2011.

A press release had this to say about Alestorm: ‘Pirates’ metal band Alestorm will make a strong contribution to the joy we’ll have in the sixth edition of Dokk’em Open Air. Expect a fusion of heavy metal, folk and sleazy metal. Alestorm is a real partyband, where beer may flow richly. The band  started off as ‘True Scottish Pirate Metal’ band, which is a parody on the Scandinavian ‘true’ black metal scene. But soon enough the new launched genre was taken seriously.”

Alestorm is currently undergoing an extensive European tour with Sabaton, in which reportedly most shows sold out.
