In the world of iTunes and Pandora, the art form that is the album cover is slowly dying. But we’re here to remind  you that in the world of heavy metal, the art of the album cover is alive and well! So each Tuesday we’ll present to you the best album covers of the week to declare what we all already know – Heavy Metal is art.

Hirax and Cage To Play San Diego Metal Swap Meet 2011

The San Diego Metal Swap Meet is now in its third year and has grown to a full day-into-night event.

The metal swap meet will be held Saturday, April 23, 2011 from 11- 5 at Queen Bee’s Art and Cultural Center located at 2905 Ohio St, San Diego CA. The swap meet will feature 25+ vendors selling metal merch and a live performance from Cage. Admission is $3 and vendor tables are still available for $35 at www.sdmetalstore.org

An after-party show will be held at the Ruby Room located at 1271 University Avenue, San Diego, CA with thrash legends Hirax headlining.
