Anaal Nathrakh make some of the most tortured and limitless music the UK has to offer, a roaring defiance of forms still with talons ripping out the dark hearts of black and )increasingly) industrial metal/ I’ve become a really big fans of the band and they are finally announcing stateside dates to support their recent all-killer, no-filler limb strewn riff fest battlefield Desideratum ( on Metal Blade).

While the inclusion of Incite and Secrets Of The Sky might seem like a mish mash of styles to some, all three of the bands are fairly criminally under-appreciated and this going to make for some phenomenal nights of metal madness.

Dates below.

Anaal Nathrakh have announced a big European tour including dates in Estonia, Sweden, France and Poland. The band are touring in support of the epic Desideratum, one of last years sickest albums by far. The industrial strength and insanely creative black metal influenced havoc of opener “Acheronta Movebimbus” into the cathartic “Unleash” will peel back your skin and pour steel shavings onto your red hot insides, for no good reason. Ok, so I just wanted to write something gory and metal sounding, but really the record is sure to confound people with no imagination but thrill fans of the edges of extreme metal’s pioneering spirit of expression and embrace of the ferocity and beauty of the vast cosmos.

I definitely am often still listening to Desideratum when I am supposed to be reviewing newer albums that have come out since, let’s put it that way. \m/

Find more info HERE. The London show is sold out, the band commenting: “We look forward to a blast furnace of an evening.”

Long running UK extreme metal duo/recent Metal Blade signees, ANAAL NATHRAKH, are pleased to soil your day with the repugnant sounds of “Monstrum In Animo,” now playing at Decibel Magazine.

The ferocious new hymn comes by way of the band’s soon-to-be detonated Desideratum full-length. Produced by guitarist/bassist/programmer Mick Kenney, with vocals recorded at Necrodeath Studios in Birmingham, and music tracked and mixed at The Black Flamingo in Orange County, California, Desideratum flaunts eleven fantastically mischievous odes of agony and despair. Declares Decibel Magazine, “the ridiculously consistent Birmingham black metallers are simply one of the most utterly fearsome and inventive outfits currently operating in the modern extreme metal scene. Elite level mind-fuckers. Aural devastators…”

Album Review: Anaal Nathrakh – “Passion”

Posted by Allred on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 10:55 PM (PST)

Did you ever know someone that was just flat out, plain ugly? Someone that would never be attractive to you in a 100 years. Though when you ended up spending some time with them, you all of a sudden found yourself noticing qualities and a character that you never dreamed of existing. Ultimately, having your mind blown with what you originally and wrongfully deemed below you. Well, if you are not already familar with Anaal Nathrakh then be prepared for this exact experience and eventual mind blowing that awaits you within “Passion”, the sixth proper full length album from these blissfully chaotic Brits.

The duo of Irrumator (Mick Kenney) and V.I.T.R.I.O.L. (Dave Hunt) have once again crafted an album in “Passion” that is truly it’s own beast, standing apart from comparison to all other bands. Their successful blend of black, industrial, noise and death-grind is nothing less than a scathing, caustic, sonically devastating, apocalyptic soundtrack that not only destroys with it’s vicious attack, but is also disturbingly beautiful in it’s schizophrenic epicness.

Read the full schizophrenic experience here.
