Music Video: Before The Dawn – “Pitch Black Universe”

Posted by SeanB on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 6:13 AM (PST)

Finnish Melodic death metal group Before The Dawn have just released the official video for their song “Pitch Black Universe”.  The song is taken off their forthcoming album Rise of the Phoenix, due out April 27, 2012 on Nuclear Blast.

In June 2011 Before The Dawn lost bassist and vocalist Lars and drummer Atte. Lars for personal reasons and Atte for musical reasons, but it’s obvious from the video that it hasn’t slowed them down.

You can see the video for “Pitch Black Universe” right here.

Music Video: Before The Dawn – “Phoenix Rising”

Posted by SeanB on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 6:21 AM (PST)

Finnish melodic death metalheads Before The Dawn have risen from the ashes left behind after losing their bass player and drummer last June and released a music video for the title track off their upcoming album Phoenix Rising. The album is set for release on April 27, 2012 through Nuclear Blast Records and you can get all the pertinent info here.

In June 2011 Berfore The Dawn lost bassist and vocalist Lars and drummer Atte. Lars for personal reasons and Atte for musical reasons.  Frontman Tuomas Saukkonen commented:

“Massive changes in the line-up during 2011 ended an era of great frustration and brought back 110% dedication and professionalism into the band. The newfound energy and motivation steered us into a victorious European tour and made it possible to produce the strongest, fastest, heaviest and definitely the most epic Before The Dawn album so far!”

Finninsh melodic death metal outfit Before the Dawn are getting ready to rise from the ashes renewed and reinvigorated with their new release, Rise of the Phoenix.

This will be their first release since losing their bass player and drummer last June, but founding member and guitarist Tuomas Saukkonen seems optomistic.

Tuomas recently had this to say:

“Massive changes in the line-up during 2011 ended an era of great frustration and brought back 110% dedication and professionalism into the band, the newfound energy and motivation steered us into a victorious European tour and made it possible to produce the strongest, fastest, heaviest and definitely the most epic Before the Dawn album so far!”

The album is slated for release April 27, 2012 on Nuclear Blast Records.

It looks to me like their title choice was appropriate. Click here to see a track listing off the new album.
