More shows announced by the  Evile camp.It is great to see the band get back on their feet yet again. One of the most consistently killer thrash bands in the world!

“Evile are coming back next year, we’ve been hard at work over the past few months with Piers, our new guitarist, to get up to speed with putting a great set together for our first show back at one of our favourite venues (so much of a favourite I named a song after it!), the Underworld in London, on March 28, 2015.

We’ve still got a lot of work to do in the coming months to make sure we can be better than we’ve ever been but we’re treating this as a new start, I always hoped (idealistically) that Evile could be a band that kept the same members for as long as we lasted but obviously there are some things you just can’t fight or plan for and life just isn’t that straight forward.

We want to make sure we put the time in to be stronger than ever but we can only all manage to be available at the same time for one or two rehearsals per week which is why we haven’t rushed straight back out there. We need to put the effort in to be as good a live band as we want to be, that’s what we’re aiming for starting next year. This time we are going the DIY route, we have no label or manager. Just ourselves and whatever stage people will let us play on.

We finally get the chance to tour in support of our last album Skull which we released through Earache in May 2013, sadly we never got a chance to promote it properly so it seemed to fly under the radar for a lot of people so we plan on playing that album in full at shows next year as we’re really proud of what we put together on that one and think it deserves it’s time in the spotlight.Check out the rest of the dates we have booked in for next year and we will see the London faithful at the Underworld on March 28 for the resurrection of Evile.”

Evile postpones UK tour dates

Posted by GageT on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 8:37 AM (PST)

evileAfter dropping Skull this year, British thrashers Evile have postponed their UK tour dates in support of the album due to “unforeseen circumstances.” The shows should be rescheduled for sometime next year.

The band released this statement via their Facebook:

“Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control we unfortunately have to postpone our upcoming shows in September across the UK. We apologize sincerely to everyone who was planning to attend and those who have already bought tickets.

The shows aren’t being cancelled outright, they will be happening sometime next year, so all tickets will still be valid at the same value when the shows have found new dates.

In 14 years of playing shows we have only purposefully cancelled two shows, broken down on the way to four, and missed another two because of delayed flights, which isn’t a bad record for all the years we’ve been playing, so postponing these September shows isn’t a decision we’ve made lightly or easily.

When we have new dates for the shows in 2014 we will announce them; as mentioned previously all tickets will still be valid. Again, we apologize wholeheartedly for the postponement, and thank you for the continued support you guys give us”.

evilerecordstoredaySwedish death metal meets British thrash for this years Record Store Day when Entombed and Evile release a split 7″ picture disc in celebration of the event.  The vinyl will feature the classic Entombed track “Drowned” as well as Evile’s 2012 cover of the same song.  The disc will be available at independent record stores on April 20, 2013.

Evile will also be making an appearance at Crash Records in Leeds, U.K. to help with the festivities.  Tickets are limited, but if you buy the split from Crash on the day of, admission is free.  Evile drummer Ben Carter had the following to say about the event and collabo:

“Evile are looking forward to making some stupidly heavy noise at Crash Records in Leeds on Saturday, 20th April in support of Record Store Day! We’re going to start destroying ears at 4 p.m., so make sure to get in early as space will be VERY limited! We guarantee this show will be utter carnage and something very different than the norm. We can’t wait to see how a circle pit will work in a record store and need our fans there to show us!!! To mark the occasion, we’ll be selling our new exclusive 7″ split of our cover of Entombed’s ‘Drowned’, with Entombed’s original on the flipside. All this is to show support to indie retailers, so get yer asses down to Crash and show your support for the old school!!!”

Record Store was kicked off back in 2008 by Metallica and takes place the third Saturday of every April. It’s basically so independent record stores and artists can collaborate with special limited edition releases and special events. It really helps promote small shops and their love of the music.

Guitarist Ol Drake had these comments to make about the video:

“Surprise! Here’s a new Evile music video! Instead of building up any kind of hype and making people wait, we thought we would just throw the latest one at you out of the blue as a treat. We had loads of fun doing this with Ash Pears of ASHTV and we really think we’ve got a video that suits the song greatly. Here is ‘In Dreams of Terror’. And if you’re coming to Bloodstock this weekend, you just may hear this one!”

Evile to film new music video for “Memoriam”

Posted by XxCrashQueenxX on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 2:23 PM (PST)

The band Evile is planning on filming a new music video for their song “Memoriam”  off of the band’s latest album Five Serpent’s Teeth which was released on September 26th, 2011. The band is said to begin filming on April 29th in north England and will be working with director Ben Thornley who has worked with Thrice and The Blackout in the past.

Lead guitarist Ol Drake had this to say about the video:

The initial idea was to release the ‘Cult’ video, as we did, then immediately get onto recording the video for ‘In Memoriam’; this was easier said than done. It’s been well documented why the song the exists. When it came to getting the ‘right’/’appropriate’ treatment for the video it was a lengthy process. The song is so close to all of us that we wanted to make sure the video complimented the song and its subject matter, and that all four of us were happy with how the song will be portrayed visually. If we’d have settled on the first idea after ‘Cult’, we wouldn’t have been happy, so amidst touring and gigging we’ve been working hard on getting this 100% before we move on to the next video. The song is basically about loss, which we can all relate to, so we wanted to express that in the video, while staying respectful to why the song exists. We can’t wait to get this filmed and out there for all to enjoy!”

Evile starts their tour tomorrow, for a list of dates see here.

We may just even have a special, first time live-airing of the previously mentioned track for the BOA masses. Come along for your Evile fix! Long live Bloodstock!”
