Black Veil Brides have today released the re-recorded track “Perfect Weapon” off their recently announced brand new, re-imagined, re-recorded 2020 edition of their debut album re-titled Re-Stitch These Wounds. It sounds dominating and confident. Fans can check out the re-imagined track, “Perfect Weapon” below. This new album comes in celebration of the 10th anniversary of their debut We Stitch These Wounds. The forthcoming album Re-Stitch These Wounds will be released via Sumerian Records on Friday, July 31st. Pre-Orders are available from ReStitchTheseWounds.com.

Speaking on Re-Stitch These Wounds and his band’s 10th year milestone, frontman, Andy Biersack says:

“We are so excited to have the opportunity to revisit and reimagine our debut album for its 10 year anniversary. A decade ago I was just a teenager trying to find my way and meet like minded musicians, I was fortunate enough to meet Jake and Jinxx and we clicked instantly. I can remember writing so many of these songs in the tiny Hollywood apartment Jake and I shared and tracking our own demos, so to have the opportunity to take a look at these songs again and update them for the modern era of the band with Jake at the helm producing and mixing is a full circle moment for us.

We have never been happier as a band then in the current lineup and it’s amazing to get the chance to start over and do with this record what we always wished we could have done the first time around. This isn’t meant to be a replacement for the original album but rather a companion piece that we hope fans can enjoy and see the musical evolution of the band in a unique way.”

Alive and Burning is everything a Black Veil fan could want in a DVD
experience. Great audio, an extensive booklet and pro footage of BVB ripping
through a lengthy set in November of 2014 at Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theatre. The
band have come a long way since vocalist Andy Biersack used to sleep in his
car. Right from the opener “Heart Of Fire”, you know why Avenged Sevenfold
need to watch their backs. This band right now could blow them off the stage,
and I’m not even an Avenged hater.

The hard working, hard rock tradition loving band that people either love or
hate threaten snobs who just don’t get where these dudes are coming from or
like the aesthetic, but in reality Black Veil are right up there with some of
the best 80’s bands. They are certainly light years better than a plethora of
compressed emo vocal bands all trying to grasp at pubescence with high pitched
vocals while also trying to sound tough and screamo-core or the distended anus
of most deathcore mouth fart vocals and floppy breakdowns these days.

Watching this DVD is exciting, fans are stoked, rock n roll is alive, the band
have sick gear and Andy is using his real, God given voice to kick ass. The
band have on stage fortitude and a killer energy exhange with fans many
numbskulls could learn from if they could stop automatically associating glam
or death rock with Mall metal trends. Personally I love when I see some
younger kid with a Heartogram or a Black Veil T Shirt, because it isn’t fake
music.

Band Name Origin: Black Veil Brides

Posted by KageDrummer on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 2:42 PM (PST)

Ever wonder where some bands come up with their band names?  Well, we do, and we’re sick of sitting around scratching our heads about it and we bet a lot of you Metal Rioters are sick of doing the same damn thing. So, we’re pulling our sleuth gear out to bring these heavy metal mysteries into the light and pulling the curtain back to bring you sweet revelation.

Today we’re looking at L.A. based hard rock band Black Veil Brides.  The group’s front man, Andy Biersack, explains:

When I was very young – I still am to this day – I was always very obsessed with religion in particular, but Catholicism and the imagery behind it. I myself am not religious, but I’ve always had a great respect for the idea of without faith there’s no hope, so without hope there’s no reason to go on. People need something to believe in. I just decided very early on in my life that I wanted to believe more so in myself, than give my undying something to a deity. That name comes from devotion in the Catholic Church, when a nun becomes a nun, they have a ceremony and she actually marries God and wears a black veil. She basically gives up all the joys of life to devote herself to her calling. To me, I always thought what we do in rock ‘n roll music is the same. There’s a great level of devotion if you want to do this, you have to give your all to it. We see ourselves as that.

Black Veil Brides newest album, “Set The World On Fire”, was released in June 2011 though Universal Republic Records.
