A Life Once Lost breaks up

ALOLlogoTenured Philadelphia metalcore band A Life Once Lost frontman Bob Meadows had announced that the band has broken up. In an interview with Doylestown blog Fig Meadows announced the end of the bands 14 year run to better himself as a person.

A Life Once Lost was formed in Philadelphia 1999 and has put out 5 full length studio albums and toured the Europe and the United States with such bands as Opeth, Lamb of God and As I Lay Dying.

A Life Once Lost announce tour dates

A Life Once Lost Band Picture A Life Once Lost have just released new tour dates. The band will be hitting the road and starting the tour on October 18th in New Jersey and will run until November 13th where the almost month long journey will come to an end in Massachusetts.

A Life Once Lost announce short U.S. tour run with Black Sheep Wall

Life Once LostTwo weeks after announcing a new album, Philly’s own A Life Once Lost are set to debut some of those new tunes with a short tour run that stretches from Virginia to their home state of Pennsylvania.

The band has tapped California’s Black Sheep Wall as openers for this mini-tour, which kicks off June 23d, presumably soon after their new album gets the final polish.

A Life Once Lost get set to record a new album

Philadelphia metalcore band A Life Once Lost has officially confirmed that they are set to hit the studio on April 10th to begin recording a new album. The album will be recorded in Richmond, VA at Planet Red and produced by Andreas Magnusson. The as of yet untitled album will be a follow up to their 2007 release Iron Gag on Ferret Music. The album will be released on Season of Mist and will be illustrated by Brian Baker.

Producer Andreas Magnusson stated:

“I have a lot of new material to work with here so it will be a breeze for us to make a super epic record,”

Frontman Bob Meadows had the following to say:

“We are excited to be working with an old friend on this upcoming record, Andreas has worked on some cool stuff and the chemistry between him and the band works out great. Stay tuned for some video clips of our time in the studio and random news blurbs on our Facebook and Twitter pages.”

A Life Once Lost name Jordan Crouse as new drummer

A Life Once Lost Band PictureUnderrated mind-benders A Life Once Lost have confirmed the identity of their new permanent drummer, and the lucky guy is fellow Philly resident Jordan Crouse. Fans may remember Crouse’s stint with the band if they caught ALOL’s set at the New England Metal and Hardcore festival a few weeks ago.

“I’m stoked to be joining up with A Life Once Lost,” said Crouse. “Performing at New England Metal And Hardcore Festival two weeks ago was definitely a great experience and I’m looking forward to touring and working on the new record due out later this year.”

The band is looking to the fall for a release of their untitled new album due out on Season of Mist.
