Sweden’s Sister have launched a throat thirsty new scuzz rock video for  “Slay Yourself” , from their kick ass latest Disguised Vultures. The band are pretty much one of the realest rock n roll acts out right now, a group who actually have a sense of anarchy on stage like rock is supposed to. I would take this any day over half the shitty hipster bands out or lame saturated candy vocals in metalcore hooks. This was filmed at venues in Sweden and Finland and captures the sweaty and raw energy unleashed on the club stages on that tour.

This video plus news that Dave Lombardo has joined fucking Amen (!!!!) has me believing again.

Sister has confirmed an appearance at the ‘Peace and Love’ festival in Borlänge, Sweden on July 5th. More tour dates for Europe are in the works and will be announced soon. Visit sisterofficial.com to stay up to date with the band.

New Sister music video premire for “Bullshit & Backstabbing”

Posted by metalrocker on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 4:01 PM (PST)

Sister HatedSleaze/punk influenced metal outfit Sister have released their second music video, “Bullshit & Backstabbing”  off their latest album “Hated”. Check it out here.

Here’s what the band had to say about their new video:

“The video for “Bullshit & Backstabbing” is the first video we’ve done with a crew behind the cameras. The song is a favourite of the album HATED for all of us in the band and it felt right to make a video of it. We found a greasy spot to shoot it at and got to work. Like always we wanted to keep it on a basic level and just do a video with what Sister is all about Just deliver the punk rock we’ve always done. This is what we do and the video crew Bröderna Blom and Tinnerholm got it down and made it sick. Check it! Ps No animals were seriously harmed during the shooting of this video!”

Sister’s latest album, “Hated”, was released June 7th 2011 via Metal Blade Records.

Sister to support GWAR on upcoming European tour in January

Posted by katstat on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 1:39 PM (PST)

Swedish sleaze and punk influenced metal band Sister, currently signed with Metal Blade Records, have now been confirmed as support act for the European tour of the mighty GWAR, starting January 11th, 2012.

Comments the band: When the rumours of a tour supporting GWAR first started circulating the whole band got excited right away! They are a band that really stands out from the rest and has been doing that for a long time. A cult band really!! Secondly it’s great to finally infect the UK with our presence and to round it all up back home in Stockholm couldnt be better. Sister will kick it harder than ever and we’re looking forward to see all of you GWAR-heads and Sister supporters in January! Fuck, the tours just keep on coming our way. We love it!!

New Sister music video premire for “The Unlucky Minority”

Posted by jrod1209 on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 3:20 PM (PST)

Sleaze/punk influenced metal outfit Sister recently have released the first music video, “The Unlucky Minority”  off their latest album “Hated”. Check it out here.

Here’s what the band had to say about their new video:

We filmed this video for The Unlucky Minority in one evening without any major plans really but with alotta sweat and beers instead! Keep it simple and keep the Sister approach to it all. This video represents us and just like the album, we’ve captured the raw and dirty feeling in it. This is a straight rock n’ roll video with no fucking around. Just pure SISTER. The video was shot and edited by independent film maker Jimmy Johansson (creator of Arkusan Martinsson, Brutt, Brunsås the movie) an ‘old friend/drinking pal/roommate to the band’ who has followed and hung out with the band since the beginning.”

Sister’s latest album, “Hated”, was released June 7th 2011 via Metal Blade Records.
