Fear Those Who Fear Him is the third and hotly coveted new dark metal power emission from the extreme metal warlocks of Vallenfyre. This song is not about any hobnobbery with spirits and sprites, though the band do have serious British mojo. No, this crusher deals hard in real world problems facing us right now.

Guitarist/vocalist Greg Mackintosh (Paradise Lost) comments:
Nihilist is about those who take their ridiculous holy book seriously and carry it out to the letter. In light of recent events it is dedicated to the innocent victims of the Manchester attack.

Scheduled for worldwide release via CENTURY MEDIA RECORDS on June 2, 2017, Fear Those Who Fear Him is an unforgiving musical mixture of death, doom, grind, and crust offering 12 ferocious new tracks. The album is available for pre-order on CD, LP and digital download at http://smarturl.it/VallenfyreFTWFH

Crusty Death/Doom outfit VALLENFYRE , one of the most killer bands in heavy music will release its third album, Fear Those Who Fear Him, via Century Media Records on June 2nd, 2017.

Now, the band proudly presents the first single and video clip for this opus. Greg Mackintosh (vocals and guitar) comments: “’Kill All Your Masters’ is about the frustration and anger we feel towards the many people and regimes in positions of power, whether it be political, religious or corporate, inflicting crimes and injustices on an often docile and enslaved population, who in many ways seem happy to be told what to do by anything from ancient books to lifestyle magazines.”

If you are on extra edge from how fucking dumb the world has been of late, this is some much needed riff/hate therapy.

In one of the better lyric videos I’ve seen, Paradise Lost and Century Media have revealed a song sure to thrill fans of the long running metal institution. It’s on the slower Type O and PL doom side of things, a powerful number with a bridge to fight for. I’m still reeling from seeing Vallenfyre crush live so this PL song is very welcome. I’m also allegedly related to Milton who wrote Paradise Lost, so I’m always into this band’s stuff. It makes little red demons in my skull dance in a cartoon field of flames. I’ve followed them sporadically since Draconian Times and they always have a good visual element to their design as well.

You can feel the song build in your veins watching the lyric video HERE.

PARADISE LOST comments: “Check out the first track from our new album “The Plague Within”. “No Hope In Sight” was one of the first tracks we wrote and it reflects a blend of styles. From death metal to gothic to classic rock. It’s like all eras of PL wrapped up into one track.  We hope you all like it!

“No Hope In Sight“ is already available on all digital outlets and you can pre-order the digital album here:

Thinking back on the whirlwind night of Decibel Magazine Tour‘s Webster Hall finale, the main thing that comes to mind is not the sweaty masses of hairy metal dudes, bad ass chics or even the amazing music from Vallenfyre, Pallbearer, Converge and At The Gates (playing their first set in NYC in many years).

No, what got me the most was thinking of the influence and deep involvement of all the members of these bands in the metal scene and how much passion can spread to coat the world in one person’s lifetime of work. From Converge’s Jacob Bannon’s Deathwish Inc. label/distro to his artistic influence on the visual side of the scene to Vallenfyre’s cast of characters deeply influential work in bands like Paradise Lost and My Dying Bride to Pallbearer playing big hip festivals only metal bands like Mastodon or Metallica usually get asked to play to At The Gates deep legacy on melodeath to the members involvement in other groups ranging from The Haunted to Disfear and Skitsystem, you’ve got a huge web of metal history, present and future emanating from the stage.
