Chiodos post “3 AM” video

Posted by Morgan Ywain Evans on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 7:37 PM (PST)

video

Chiodos has premiered the second music video from the band’s hit album DEVIL on Popcrush HERE. The video was directed by Ramon Boutviseth (All That Remains, For Today). ‘3 Am” used to be the time in the 80’s and early 90’s that they’d spin weird videos. I think Guns N’ Roses were lucky that “welcome To The Jungle” got like one late night spin which cemented their stardom as it was requested mercilessly after that despite initially being shit on by the label and MTV. So, hey… 3 a.m. is also a good time for late night love or whatever. I haven’t even watched this Chiodos vid yet but they are usually pretty on point.

Chiodos’ Bradley Bell comments, “Never has this band been so excited about a music video, it’s weird. This time we took the approach of having fun and getting everybody involved in some acting and just being their weird selves. Hopefully everyone else enjoys it as much as we did!”

Chiodos’ recently released new album DEVIL (drk/lght records / Razor & Tie) debuted at #12 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart with more than 18,000 units sold.

Listening to some folks out the window on the street bum cigs off one another and it’s hella depressing. They really sound like they are selling rare baseball cards to one another. Hack. So glad I quit. Terrible for singing voice and so maybe I’ll have one or two a year if shared with a real comet of a human being.

On a more electric note, Chiodos and Blessthefall (Eric Lambert was recently interviewed on our site) have been hitting the road and wowing crowds of kids eager for energetic live shows. Not everyone is just into their phones these days. There is hope, concertgoers. Check out these cool live shots from photographer Matt Slater and take heart.

Detroit metalcore act We Came As Romans are streaming their new song “Mis//Understanding” in video form and you can check it out right here. This new track will appear on the band’s upcoming album “Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be” which is slated to be released on September 13th via Equal Vision Records.

When talking about the new album, guitarist Joshua Moore stated, “All of the lyrics on the new album are pages out of my personal diary. Each song holds different meanings that are all very close to my heart. This song in particular is about the feeling of giving everything I have, but not seeing any change in the world as a result of it. It’s about how I’ve tried to be a positive light, but still see so many wrong things happening around me. It has allowed me take a step back and realize what I can do to improve things and have better control over my life.”

The band’s last album “To Plant A Seed” was released last year through Equal Vision Records.
