Michigan metalcore act, We Came As Romans, have released a music video for their song “Mis//Understanding” off their new album “Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be.” The video was shot in New York by director Travis Kopach.

We Came As Romans, a metal core band originating from Detroit, along with Equal Vision Records have announced the “I’m Alive” tour that is set to begin in fall. The tour will begin Sep. 13 in Pontiac, Michigan. The band is to be accompanied by Miss May I, Close To Home, Of Mice And Men, and Texas In July.The dates, along with the set list, for the tour can been seen here.
This tour is to help support their upcoming album “Understanding What We’ve Grown To Be”which is set to release of Sep. 13.

When talking about the new album, guitarist Joshua Moore stated, “All of the lyrics on the new album are pages out of my personal diary. Each song holds different meanings that are all very close to my heart. This song in particular is about the feeling of giving everything I have, but not seeing any change in the world as a result of it. It’s about how I’ve tried to be a positive light, but still see so many wrong things happening around me. It has allowed me take a step back and realize what I can do to improve things and have better control over my life.”
The band’s last album “To Plant A Seed” was released last year through Equal Vision Records.

Lancaster, PA metalcore monoliths Texas In July shed some light on their upcoming album, “One Reality.” Their sophomore album is due April 26th from Equal Vision. Their most recent release was “I Am,” which came out in September 2009.

Greetings cretins! While out and about the country on The Congregation of the Damned tour with Atreyu and blessthefall, yours truly got a chance to get with singer Brandon Bolmer and drummer Tanner Wayne of Chiodos.
