Who is ready for Cancer Bats new tour?

Posted by Morgan Ywain Evans on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 10:37 AM (PST)

cancer-bats

Cancer Bats have matured in a great way. While some people think they’ve gotten a bit softer (same complaint leveled at Gaslight Anthem on their still deeply excellent Get Hurt ), Cancer Bats are a band like Coliseum where the intensity rarely matters because whatever volume they attack at it is always about good songwriting first and foremost. I think recent tune “Satellites”  is about the best rough around the edges sing along punk tune I’ve heard yet in 2015. This is rock n roll as hell. Not to mention Mew’s cold Euro-prog song “Satellites” is amazing as well! I guess that’s what it takes to write a banger (shout out to P.O.D. “Satellite”). I have to go now.

America’s Grammys = Canada’s Junos. Canada’s resident metalcore up and comers Cancer Bats‘ third album “Bears, Mayors, Scraps & Bones” has jettisoned them further up the ladder as they become more and more recognized on the world’s stage.  This is their second Juno nomination. In 2009, they were nominated (but lost) for New Group of the Year.

Currently, they are out on the road with Baptized in Blood and Devildriver. This announcement came as a surprise this morning after their commute from Thunder Bay to Toronto. “I can’t think of better news to finish off a 17 hour drive,” states vocalist Liam Cormier.

“Bears, Mayors, Scraps & Bones” is available anywhere awesome records are sold and is released from Distort Entertainment.
