bittnerhaleEarlier today, Shadows Fall drummer Jason Bittner expressed his outrage at the Grammys for giving Halestorm the award for “Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance” for their track, “Love Bites (So Do I)” from their 2012 album The Strange Case of…

Halestorm won the award over Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Lamb of God, Marilyn Manson, and Megadeth.

Bittner wrote on his personal facebook page:

“Well, I know I’m gonna get a lot of shit for this but I just don’t care anymore…. How the FUCK does Maiden, Megadeth, LOG, and my ‘other family’ ANTHRAX lose the Grammys to ________ (not gonna say the name)!!!! Shit is rotten in the music business and this proves it!!! And I thought the JETHRO TULL thing in 1989 was bad enough but this beats it hands down!!!”

Of course, he is referencing Metallica losing the very first Hard Rock/Metal Grammy back in 1989 to the very un-metal Jethro Tull.

It’s no big deal. I was in my hotel room sick the whole time and had no clue, so please all well-wishers be known, it’s no biggie, we’re good.”

New Music Video: Shadows Fall – “The Unknown”

Posted by SeanB on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 2:55 AM (PST)

Massachusetts metal vets Shadows Fall have just released a music video for the song “The Unknown” from their new album called Fire From The Sky.

To watch the video click here.

Fire From The Sky is Shadows Fall’s seventh studio album and available now on Razor And Tie Records.

Singer Brian Fair recently commented about the album:

“Fire From The Sky’ is not a concept album by any means, but a few common themes do link these songs together. These days, the world seems to be spiraling out of control into a frantic state of confusion, corruption and chaos. It’s as if we are living under the shadow of an impending apocalypse. The songs on this album were inspired by this chaos and the struggle to find answers in these dark days.”
