Long-running Washington-based heavy rock trio MOS GENERATOR will release a new full-length this May via Listenable Records. Titled Shadowlands, the eight-track studio offering was recorded in three sessions — June 2017, November 2017, and January 2018 — at the HeavyHead Recording Company in Port Orchard, Washington and comes swathed in the cover art of Adam Burke [Pilgrim, Satan’s Satyrs, Hooded Menace, Artificial Brain et al].

“Right from the opening song, Shadowlands is a record that, to me, feels more honest than our previous releases,” relays founding guitarist/vocalist/principal songwriter Tony Reed. “On this record, I introduce many other styles that I enjoy but they are intertwined so subtly that it doesn’t interrupt the classic MOS GENERATOR sound. That is a balance I’ve been looking for over the last few albums and I think the presence of [drummer] Jon Garrett and [bassist] Sean Booth have a lot to do with achieving that balance. It’s a heavy rock record that breaths and if I had to describe it further I would say it mixes ’70s style heavy rock, progressive rock, and also has some weird ’80s and ’90s underground rock nuances.”

Shadowlands will see release via Listenable Records in Europe on May 11th followed by a US street date of May 18th with preorder info to be announced in the coming weeks.

Saviours kick off December headliner

Posted by Morgan Y Evans - Walking Bombs on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 2:55 PM (PST)

Saviours bring their year of crash and bash to a close with some Dec. headlining dates. The band are one of the currently active groups I am hoping to see live someday, full of energy ala bands like Theories, Pigs, Hark and Mutoid Man – but with more of a stoner rock/bluesy hardcore approach. From what I hear, this act just gets up there and makes it happen. If you are close, you should go. Their  recent “Flesh Of Fire” jam will bulldoze your mind!

SAVIOURS Headlining Dates:
12/11/2015 The 529 – Atlanta, GA
12/12/2015 The Nick – Birmingham, AL
12/13/2015 Siberia – New Orleans, OR
12/14/2015 Boondocks – Houston, TX
12/15/2015 611 E. 7th – Austin, TX
12/16/2015 Three Links – Dallas, TX
12/18/2015 Launchpad – Albuquerque, NM
12/19/2015 Flycatcher – Tucson, AZ

New Keepers of the Water Towers signs with Listenable Records

Posted by katstat on Monday, February 21, 2011 at 1:03 PM (PST)

Swedish doom metal band New Keepers of the Water Towers have inked a deal with Listenable Records.

In 2006, guitarist and vocalist Rasmus Booberg and drummer Tor Sjödén started writing music inspired by the Swedish doom and stoner scene. Over time the duo evolved into the group known today as New Keepers of the Water Towers adding guitarist Victor Berg and, later on, bass-player Robin Holmberg to the line-up. Their music has ever since their first EP been sliding towards a more progressive and wider sound, with influences from the first wave of progressive-rock as well as the modern day prog-rock and -metal scene. After playing venues across Europe, anything from small pubs to the Roskilde Festival in 2010, the band is now back in the studio to deliver their third studio album.

Resilient Portugese goth metal band, Heavenwood, has released the track “Fading Sun” from their upcoming March 14th release on Listenable Records, “Abyss Masterpiece.”

The Youtube video features a mix of photos and live performance footage as a backdrop to the heavy, hypnotic track.

Pre-orders for “Abyss Masterpiece” are available here.
