Saving Grace release new video

Saving Grace have released a video for their brand new single “Recidivist,” available now on iTunes and announced a new album Into Hell, slated for a 2017 release. They have also announced a run of New Zealand tour dates.

The single was engineered by Zorran Mendonsa who handled production duties on the band’s first three studio albums (Behind Enemy Lines, Unbreakable and The King is Coming) and the video was directed by Scott Hansen at Digital Thunderdome (Bury Your Dead, A Day To Remember, Carnifex, The Ghost Inside). The brutal new song is superbly tight and the video does a very good job of heightening tension in a genre often flooded with poorly thrown together half story/half performance and one lame breakdown part videos.

These dudes know what they are doing and are growing with every release. Hails.

The debut Rival Choir (formerly Mouth Of The South) album “I Believe, Help My Unbelief” will be released on February 5 and pre-orders are available now.  Check out all the pre-order bundle options in their online store.

Check out the Rival Choir track “Aftermath” below. It’s a pretty cool first single with a great kind of Deftones/Far reminiscent slower groove in places and a strong vocal presence before going into some Chariot territory with a bang. Dig the new direction.

Mouth Of The South’s new video released for “Good Intentions”

Posted by Metal Riot on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 8:33 AM (PST)

Facedown-Records-re-sign

Mouth Of The South, one of the newer bands on Christian label Facedown Records, have revealed a video for “Good Intentions” from their label debut Struggle Well. The song shows a man gripped in self doubt and loathing who is slowly eroded by dark thoughts that manifest physically. The song is pretty heavy as far as this style of rock n roll/punk influenced metal core goes, without dipping too far into the loose bowels breakdown terrain.

Watch it BELOW.

Facedown‘s perhaps best band Gideon are back with “Survive” featuring Caleb from Beartooth as a guest. It comes from Gideon’s triumphant record Calloused from 2014, a must hear metalcore release that leans hard on hardcore but also has serious groove and low end crunch. Roaring strong, this band is still in it to win it!

War Of Ages have released a dynamic new video for “From Ashes”, perhaps the most anthemic song from the new slab Supreme Chaos. As I hit this up on Youtube I was the 665th viewer, yikes! Though if you think about it, 668 is the real “neighbor of the beast”- considering how street numbers on houses go.

Anyway, this song has my favorite solo/bridge/outro section of any tune of 2014. I was lucky months ago to get an unfinished advance of the track and must’ve listened to that section fifty times. It is awesome how the vocals don’t clutter it up and still raise spirits.

If you are feeling down, like I am big time today, hopefully this will raise your spirits. Great effort from one of the best metalcore bands who really know how to do it right.

We would also like to send out a big Thank You to everyone who already bought a copy and helped make this the most successful War Of Ages release to date. – Facedown/WoA

Free Facedown Records Summer Sampler

Posted by Morgan Ywain Evans on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 9:32 PM (PST)

God damn, the new Martyrdöd is good. Hey, that shark picture is awesome!

Like, #777!

I’m pleased to announce that Facedown‘s fine feathered faithful folks have put out a free summer sampler featuring various bands.

This was beamed to me from the Mormo-Christ Power Ranger ship of Mosh today. Well, no…I wish. It was just in my inbox from a nice label rep or auto mailer.

Free Facedown Summer Sampler

You can now download (or stream) our brand new summer sampler featuring brand new music from Colossus, Mouth Of The South and War Of Ages as well as songs from other recent releases like Those Who Fear, My Epic, Everything In Slow Motion, Saving Grace and more! This is a free download so please spread the word to your friends and help us get these songs out to everyone possible.

This is sweeter than a bag of cherries. The New War Of Ages, My Epic and Those Who Fear are more than worth this all by themselves. After this I hope they put out a proper Stryper tribute comp, cuz I love the Yellow & Black Attack, legit. It can counter the weird Sumerian-Core vibes of that weird non pagan witchy enough Florence & The Machine comp, though I am not a Sumerian hater at all.

I’m becoming a pretty avid fan of My Epic, the most forward thinking band on the Christian label Facedown Records roster. I really love their guitar parts. Now word of a limited re-edition of their 201o breakthrough Yet in cream vinyl has hit the streets.

Via Facedown:

The highly anticipated vinyl release of My Epic “Yet” is available now for pre-orders, exclusively in our online store.  It’s being pressed on cream vinyl and is limited to just 500 copies.

Two brand new My Epic shirts are also available to pre-order along with the LP, so make sure to check those out as well.

Click HERE to revisit my favorite track from the record, the spacious and killer “Author”. Whatever your denomination or lack thereof, this is great music.

My Epic is excited to announce the release of the instrumental version of “Behold”, the band’s fourth studio album.  The album will be available through all digital outlets on May 27.  You can now listen to the song ‘Arise’ on our You Tube page (Not a Sepultura cover. Enabler did that). .   ‘Arise’ is the first track on Behold and is the first of a trilogy of songs depicting the return of Jesus.  This is a look at the magnitude & brevity of the world He holds together.

Pre-Orders are online now for just $7.99 on iTunes or Amazon MP3.

Stay posted for more My Epic news coming very soon (hint: it involves vinyl!)
