Not to be confused with also awesome Deadbird or the not so awesome anymore Immortal, the folks in Immortal Bird are a savage and fun crew. You have to be a bit aware to jokingly refer to your genre as Male-Backed XXXTREME METAL. Immortal Bird are crazy and crusty but evil enough to appeal to Martyrdöd, Obliterations, Mortals or Savannah Sludge fans in near equal measure. Heck, even some Code Orange type kids might dig it.The Chicago band’s full length debut Empress/Abcess is very likely to cause you physical harm and strikes all the right nerves. Urgent performances with crust roots, raw but kick ass performances and the fierce screams of Rae Amitay. You can not go wrong with this record.
