MASTODON have released official audio for “Sickle and Peace” from their upcoming Hushed and Grim double album extravaganza. This era certainly has my favorite album art the group has used in awhile and this song is the best new thing I have heard from it yet. I like the weird, moody and proggy verses leading into the more bombastic arena sludge choruses, plus hints of flavorful trad metal/hard rock sprinklings and a brilliant, emotive solo. Hear it for yourselves below. This song is certain to add even more dynamics to their ever evolving range.
