Anthrax almost finished with new album

AnthraxNew York Thrash Metal band Anthrax has been working hard on their ninth studio album through Sanctuary Records.  The album is tentatively titled “Worship Music” and it will be the bands first full album since “We’ve Come for You All” in 2003. This will also be their first album recorded with Joey Belladonna since “Persistence of Time” in 1990.

Speaking to the Artisan News Service, guitarist Scott Ian said: “We’re almost ready to go. Eight things are recorded and we’ve only got to go back and re-record two or three things. And Joey’s singing on all of it.”

Tour Video: Slayer, Anthrax discuss thrash metal, Jagermeister Tour

SlayerThrash veterans Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax recently wrapped up the 2010 Fall Jagermeister Music Tour. Slayer has posted a short video with some live footage from the tour and some of the members of the bands discussing the history and relevance of thrash metal.

Jagermeister 2010 Fall Tour with Slayer, Megadeth, and AnthraxJägermeister announces the 2010 Fall Jägermeister Music Tour, with the 1991 original “Clash of the Titans” lineup – Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax. The brand’s 17th Music Tour will bring three of the hardest hitting metal bands in the world to one stage and will feature complete performances of Slayer’s much lauded Seasons in the Abyss Album from 1990, Megadeth’s landmark 1990 album Rust in Peace, and the return of Anthrax’s singer Joey Belladonna. The tour kicks off September 24th and will play 20 venues across the nation.
