Previously, Leach and guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz formed and recorded under the monicker Times of Grace in 2011. It was average.

Times Of Grace tap Matt Bachand (Shadow’s Fall) as touring bassist

Posted by Tommy on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 10:52 AM (PST)

Boston based metal band Times of Grace have announced that Shadow’s Fall guitar extraordinaire Matt Bachand will be acting as the band’s touring bassist on their upcoming Euro tour. The news comes after Times Of Grace bassist Daniel Struble left the band temporarily to attend to personal matters. The band has issued the following statement,

“Losing Daniel was a blow to the TIMES OF GRACE camp, but we knew he had to do what was best for him and his family,” said Leach. “Having Matt show interest in joining the touring lineup could not have been a better fit! I have been a fan of Matt’s voice and guitar work for many years. I am honored and very stoked to have him join us on tour to play bass and sing backup vocals. Matt is a great guy, and someone Adam, Joel and I have all known for years. Personality-wise and as a musician, it clicks so well. I am certain Matt will add a great vibe and bring his own style to the live show!”

Bachand said, “I am very excited to be a part of TIMES OF GRACE. Not only will it be great to get onstage with some old friends, but I am looking forward to something new musically as this role as bassist will be a very different experience from my role as guitarist of SHADOWS FALL.”

The band’s debut album “Hymn of a Broken Man” came out in January 2011 on Roadrunner Records.

Album review: Times Of Grace – “The Hymn Of A Broken Man”

Posted by NichTheHair on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 1:58 PM (PST)

Born out of suffering and salvation, “The Hymn of a Broken Man” journeys through tribulation and trial, leading us down a path of redemption and recovery. Spectacularly composed by Adam Dutkiewicz and penned by him and Jesse Leach, Times of Grace blaze a trail from toil, but somewhere lose us while trekking with their heads hung in sorrow. Comprised of a current and former member of Killswitch Engage, I can’t help but think this reminds me of something I’ve heard before.

Due for release January 18, 2011 on Roadrunner Records, Times of Grace‘s “Hymn of a Broken Man” continues to build anticipation. Masterminded by Jesse Leach and Adam Dutkeiwicz (former and current members of Killswitch Engage, respectively), the two talented musicians ease the tension with a clip from the new release, “Worlds Apart”.

“In all my life. I have yet to write a record that bares my soul as much as this record does,” Leach said. “Adam and I had a real spiritual connection while making this and I know that it comes through in the performances and lyrics. This record has our blood, sweat and tears flowing through it. It is painfully honest at times. In short this record is our catharsis.”

“In the end, I am very proud of this record, and I feel it has helped me through some of my darkest days,” Adam said. ” I’m hoping that people will enjoy it, and also that it can maybe help others to keep the most positive mindset, even through the most trying of times.”
