Dutch Thrashers DISQUIET have published another video clip for their upcoming new album Instigate To Annihilate.

The single is also available on all usual streaming platforms.

Instigate To Annihilate will be released on May 6th 2022 via Soulseller Records on CD, LP and digitally. It was mixed and mastered at Tomster Studios and features an artwork by Wouter Florusse.

With their third full-length DISQUIET takes you to the far reaches of thrash and melodic death metal, offering you epic heights. The band shows its determination to challenge itself and explore new dimensions like collaborations with vocalists Charlotte Wessels (ex-Delain) and Vicky Psarakis (The Agonist), guitarist Damir Eskic (Destruction) and Koen Romeijn (Heidevolk) and even an instrumental song for the first time. Even with all the innovations, DISQUIET has not lost its focus: Ferocious and crushing riffs, catchy sing-along choruses, and hints of old school thrash with uplifting rhythms that take you into the critical message called DISQUIET.

New album alert! The Agonist are back… faster, harder, and darker than ever. Their new album Orphans is a thesis in evolution: After 5 years, 2 albums and countless international gigs (with the current lineup), the band have gelled into a paragon of extreme music. In this spectacularly dark work of art, The Agonist combine the melodic death you know and love with an array of other elements (including groovy prog metal and metalcore) that will keep you guessing all the way to the end. Each component shines: In addition to Danny Marino’s multilayered guitar parts, expect pulsing bass lines, machine-gun drums, harmonic clean vocals, and even vocalist Vicky Psarakis singing in Greek. This album is sure to please longtime fans as well as pull in new ones.

And speaking of Vicky Psarakis, this week we had the opportunity to speak with her about Orphans, The Agonist’s upcoming tour with Jinjer, and more.

Alissa-White-Gluz-The-Agonist

So Arch Enemy shocked everyone earlier in the week and announced Angela Gossow will become the band’s manager and pass her vocal torch on to ex-The Agonist vocalist Alissa White-Gluz.

Angela Gossow, who joined ARCH ENEMY in 2000 and made her debut on the now classic Wages Of Sin (2001), will be stepping down as front-woman and focusing on the band’s management. Now it’s time to lift the veil and present the new line-up with the title track of the upcoming album “War Eternal”. The video was produced by the band’s long time friend Patric Ullaeus.

Alissa kicks butt and, while she doesn’t have the fear inducing and able to dominate your puny manhood in five seconds glare of the formidable Gossow, Alissa still manages to sound really fierce on this new track. Today is a great day. Fred Phelps is dead and choking on Satan’s ding dong. I just heard the new Hellyeah album and it blows away all their old stuff. Agalloch have a new song. And now this! Horns skyward!

Chief song-writer, guitarist and band leader Michael Amott comments: “This is a day to remember. It is such a great feeling to come back with new music and to unleash the first single and video off ‘War Eternal’. Behold the first chapter of the new Arch Enemy saga… This is f**king war!”

Posted by tyrusrunyan on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 12:05 PM (PST)

Montreal metal band The Agonist have released a teaser for the upcoming video “Panophobia.” The song is off of the bands June 2012 release The Prisoner, and the video contains live footage from the band’s performance at Heavy MTL 2012. The Prisoner is The Agonist’s third studio album and a follow up to the bands 2009 effort Lullabies for the Dormant Mind, it was released via Century Media.

You can watch the teaser here.

Frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz had the following to say about the artwork for The Prisoner:
“We wanted to really include a chaotic visual to reflect the chaotic sound of the band, but we also wanted to show that the lyrics on this album are a lot more introverted…The human face was left non-descript on purpose — it doesn’t belong to any particular person, but we could call him the Lonely Solipsist.”
