NOTHING announces dope ass tour with Frankie Rose

Posted by Morgan Y Evans - Walking Bombs on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 3:08 PM (PST)

Noisegaze melodic rockers NOTHING have announced an inspired tour with Frankie Rose. Tix are available for now HERE.

I am really tempted to pull the trigger on some tix for the NY show, but I have no idea wtaf I will be doing in October or where I will even be. I thought I would at least tell y’all and support the band that way.

The excellent band are supporting 2020’s The Great Dismal, a perfect jump on point for fans who somehow missed all their other dope records and a triumphant reminder of their power for everyone else.

Speaking of which, NOTHING celebrates the 5th anniversary of the Tired of Tomorrow full-length (my favorite) with a special deluxe LP! The limited LP features a flexi disc 7” with an exclusive unreleased demo and alternate ‘aged’ artwork. Officially out worldwide on November 5th.

Bloodbath have awesome news today for death metal fans in North America! The icons will at last return to North America in 2022, playing several shows leading up to an appearance at Maryland Deathfest XVIII. The current dates are listed below. To say this is exciting news is an understatement!

Bloodbath comment: “We have been crushingly disappointed from tours falling through in the past, and it would be naive to say there isn’t an element of uncertainly about tours in the future. However, we are determined to commit to playing the US in 2022 and we are pleased to announce the following new dates.”

05/22 Brooklyn, NY @ Warsaw
05/23 Boston, MA @ Paradise Rock Club
05/24 Montreal, QC @ L’Astral
05/25 Toronto, ON @ Opera House
05/27 Baltimore, MD @ Maryland Deathfest

The Black Dahlia Murder release “Child of Night” music video

Posted by longhairedpoet on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 1:08 PM (PST)

Michigan metallers The Black Dahlia Murder have released a video for their song “Child of Night.”

This video comes out ahead of the release of the band’s latest album Verminous due out on April 17 via Metal Blade Records.

The video was produced by Vesa Ranta & Kaira Films.

“I think this is the biggest evolutionary leap we’ve ever taken from one album to the next. We stoked the creative fires with 2017’s ‘Nightbringers‘ and it’s gone much further now in ‘Verminous‘,” states vocalist Trevor Strnad. “It’s a very colorful, moody, and charismatic album that experiments with new sounds and ideas without losing the cutthroat Black Dahlia edge. There is a lot of minutiae to digest. Plenty of delicious little Easter eggs woven into the fabric of each song. Each one is a living, breathing entity that will stand on its own as some of the best music this band has ever created.”

Check out the video for “Child of Night” And The Black Dahlia Murder tour dates here.

Judas Priest , icons of true metal, have announced a 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour for frothing metal fanatics who still crave the band’s molten and particular sound. Halford is still capable of ruling the stage and the band’s recent Firepower was masterful evidence that they still can startle with the power of even new material. I am certainly supporting this over KK’s Priest silliness. No Offense to KK but fuck Ripper…he’s consistently said lots of dumb sexist right wingy shit and after I argued with him about degrading Stormy Daniels in super trashy ways and sex workers in general I will never support any records he is on again. And I once upon a time LOVED his Iced Earth-era  (sorry but he never matched Rob in Priest…that’s a fucking Joke).

Anyway, back to positivity…

Judas Priest will be celebrating their 50th anniversary this year with a world tour coming to the US in the fall. The 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour will also feature fucking Sabaton as openers! How sick is that?!!  It is being fueled by the indeed highest charting album of Priest’s career Firepower which peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200.

“Judas Priest are primed and ready to deliver the goods with our 50 Heavy Metal Years anniversary celebration stage show spectacular! Performing a blistering cross section of songs from our lives in metal – we can’t wait to raise horns with you again at this once in a metal lifetime event!” – Judas Priest
